I make somethings similar at least once a month. It is so much better than a jar. I use a combo of whole milk, a little heavy whipping cream for thickness, butter, garlic, cajun seasoning (it adds a lot of flavor) and a cup of parmesan or mixed italian cheeses. So good!
Sounds simular to a basic alfredo. I also add some spices to mine - garlic and oregano. I will have to try your recipe....ohhh, maybe add some cheddar too...hhmmm got me thinking again. <<<--this is a scary thing.

ReplyDeleteThat is probably a good idea. My hubby thinks this sauce is too bland by itself! It is similar to alfredo.
