My February Bluum Box

I finally got my February Bluum box. You can read about my January Bluum box here. I have to say I was slightly more impressed with this month's box, though I still haven't seen anything to make me think it is worth $12, or even $9 a month, which is what you'll pay without some kind of special.
Here are the products included in the February Bluum box. This month's theme is "Cuddle Buddies." Here is a rundown of what's included:
Angel Dear Stick rattle-- This is a cute little cloth rattle that comes in assorted animals. The one i received was a duck. These normally retail for $5.
Fresh Baby So Easy portion storage bags-- These are BPA free baggies ideal for storing homemade baby food. They retail about $14 for a 50-count package. They look like a bigger version of breastmilk storage bags and stand upright.
Emergen-C Vitamin Drink mix-- I got 2 single serve orange flavored packets. The Emergen-C drinks contain 1,000 mg of vitamin C, electrolytes and 7 B vitamins and are generally used for boosting your immune system.
Pinxav Diaper Rash Ointment-- This is a diaper rash cream (obviously). I haven't tried it out yet, but the sample is a decent size and looks like it will last a few diaper changes.
Bumble Bar Organic Sesame Bar, Amazing Almond-- This is a gluten-free, wheat-free, dairy-free organic snack bar made with almonds and sesame seeds. I've already tried it, and, I'm sorry to say, found it rather nasty. But it looked promising, and I'm glad I got to try it.
Here is a pic of this month's contents:

If you want to check out Bluum for yourself, you can do so here. I try to be as objective as possible when giving my opinion, but it is just that--my opinion. You may love it, even if I don't, and that's okay! It's fun receiving these "surprises" every month--I'm just not sure it's worth paying for.

Product Review: Bryton Floss Picks

I recently got an opportunity to try out Bryton Floss Picks. I was happy to try an alternative to traditional floss, as I really hate string dental floss. So I received these boomerang shaped floss picks in the mail.
The Bryton Pick has round, flexible, metal edges that are thin enough to go between the teeth, but sturdy enough to use one-handed. It is reusable up to 30 days and comes with a carrying pouch for your purse or wallet, so you can floss on the go.
The pros of the Bryton Pick are:
Easy to use (way more than string dental floss)
Portable (and comes with its own little pouch)
Easy to clean (just use water or a napkin!)
     The cons may be:
Risk of cutting your lip or gum if you're not careful!
Cost is a little more than traditional dental floss--but you have to take convenience into consideration!
In conclusion, I found it to be a much easier to use option for inter-dental cleaning than traditional string floss. It is definitely worth a try if you find yourself slacking when it comes to flossing because it is such a pain. And the Bryton Pick site is currently doing a BOGO promotion, where they double your order. So make sure you check it out while it lasts!

Ghirardelli Milk and Truffle Squares

Well, when we got home from the hospital with our new bundle of joy, I was really excited when my husband brought in the mail which contained my highly anticipated bag of Ghirardelli milk chocolate truffle squares from SheSpeaks. Of course I had to have one (or two) right away.
Now, I'll be honest. Some flavors of Ghirardelli squares I love and some flavors I could take or leave. My favorites have always been the caramel squares. The plain milk chocolate squares are okay, but probably not my first choice when I want plain chocolate. So since these squares were milk chocolate with chocolate filling, I was wondering if they would be much better than the regular milk chocolate.
Well guess what. They were. Now, I really like the Ghiradelli milk chocolate with the appropriate filling, and the chocolate truffle filling definitely hit the mark. The flavor was fantastic and the chocolate was creamy, like Ghirardelli chocolate always is. In short, they were delicious. The biggest problem I can see is there weren't enough in the bag!

**I received the product for this review for free, courtesy of Ghirardelli and SheSpeaks. However, all opinions are my own, honest opinions.**
