I have a friend who takes coconut oil supplements and says that it is easy to loose weight on them, she hasn't stayed on them long enough to loose much at a time so I don't know that for sure myself.
I've been wondering about this coconut oil craze myself. For me it was always associated with hair care. But it's great that it's evolved to be known for being a good fat and an alternative source in cooking instead of heavy butter. I know that coconut milk is primary ingredient in many South Asian (Thai, Myanmar, Indonesia, etc) countries, but I haven't yet had oil in anything. I'll have to research this more and seek out recipes! Thanks or sharing your information!
I've just started using coconut oil in my cooking (vegan chocolate cake with peppermint icing - yummy!) and have some crafts to do as well. So far, I'm impressed with it. Now, if the pric could just drop a wee bit....
I use coconut oil, but it doesn't really smell or taste like coconut. :( So now I am wondering what the difference is and if mine is just not good for ya. Thank you for the review. I will have to keep an eye out.
I have never cooked with coconut oil, but have been wanting to try it. I have heard how much healthier it is for you so I will have to give it a try! :)
I love coconut oil! I take tablespoons everyday. I use it on my skin, as a moisturizer. You can even use it on your hair, by it self or use it with cayenne pepper to help grow your hair and stimulate the hair follicles.

ReplyDeleteI tried cooking with it, but was not a fan. Everything just tasted like coconut to me.
