Let's Play Reel Cash Critters!

I got the opportunity, through Mom Spark Media, to try out a game site called Gamesville, featuring Reel Cash Critters. Funny thing is, when I went to sign up for my account, I found out I already had one. And it was old. Haha. About 10 years old. Created back in my college days, when I actually had time for stuff like this.

Gamesville is a site that has all kind of games. Great if you have lots of time to spare or need something somewhat mindless to do in the waiting room, or any other place you are "stuck" for a while. You can play in cash competitions, download games or play free games on the site, such as Reel Cash Critters.

Reel Cash Critters is a slot machine game that features cute little critters. There is not much to it. You get to wager "GV's" (Gamesville currency) which you can win playing some of the other free games on Gamesville. You can randomly win small amounts of cash ($5-10) while playing the game. As I understand it, whether you win cash or not has nothing to do with your wager.

VS.

There is also a "team aspect" I don't fully understand. When playing the team battle, you are on the Skunk or Racoon team. The team with the most GV's wins the game. One person from both the winning and losing team win a cash prize.

Within the Reel Cash Critters slot game, there is a "spin-o-matic" game. This is accessed by spinning the right combination. If you get to play this game, you spin the spinner and you win extra GV's. The values are represented by different creatures.

If you are a gold member, you get the chance at an additional game--Reel Slots Shots--which is like a shooting game. You shoot at ducks and other creatures to win more GV's.

Other advantages of the Gold membership are the daily instant win game, where you visit the "Gold Room", choose one out of 9 treasure chests and win prizes (usually more GV's). And my favorite "perk" of the Gold membership, is not having your games interrupted by ads.

If you find yourself out of GV's, but want to play more Reel Cash Critters, you can play games like Frantic Fish and Super Chef. I personally like Fractic Fish, a "BINGO" style game in which you must work quickly. all of these are free to play, unless you choose to purchase a gold member ship.

If you would like to sign up for Gamesville, you can do so here and you will get 10,000 free GV's to start you off! You can also follow Gamesville on twitter and facebook to stay updated on the latest happings at Gamesville.

So, if you're looking for a way to kill time, go ahead and sign up. But beware, you may just find yourself sucked in!

*This review was made possible by Mom Spark Media. Thoughts are my own. I received a Gamesville Gold Membership and compensation for my time investment and work on this campaign.*

Always & Tampax Always Radiant Collection

*Warning*--This post contains discussion of "women stuff" so, if you're a guy, you might just wanna stop now.

Now, for you ladies that are still here--I would like to introduce you to the Radiant collection featuring Tampax and Always--two well known and trusted brands of feminine products.
I received a sample of these products as part of my Beauty Vox Box from influenster. The samples included 1 Always pad, 2 Always pantiliners and 2 Tampax tampons--all included in a stylish little pouch. Oh yeah, and a coupon for each!
Since I'm still nursing, I haven't actually had the chance to try these samples, I have used products from both brands before and they have served me well in the past and I am confident they provide the protection that so many women have come to expect from Tampax and Always and have depended on for years!

*I receieved the products mentioned in this post as part of the vox box program from influenster. Any opinions expressed are my own.*

Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color

As I mentioned in a previous post, I received a beauty voxbox from influenster recently full of fun stuff to try. One of the things in the beauty voxbox was Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color

I admit, when I first saw this in the box, I was like, "oh, black nail polish--ookay...?" Because I'm not really a fan of dark nail polish--especially black nail polish. But this nail polish is unique. Why? Well, when I first put the nail polish on, this is what it looked like. Plain black/dark silver nail polish.

But then, hold the magnet included with the bottle over the wet nail polish and it attracts metallic particles in the polish to make little designs or stripes appear. (Sorry the pic is a little blurry.)

All that said, I'm still not super crazy about the black color. After all I wear very little black in the summer. If I had gotten a light pink or blue, I would be more likely to leave it on. It is a really neat and unique concept though. I would love to try it in a different color!

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen

One of the fun things I received in my beauty vox box from Influenster was Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen. This was probably one of my favorite items in the vox box.
This is like a combination of sunscreen and lotion, as the name indicates. It boasts 12-hour moisturization when out in the sun. The one I received was SPF 30, but it is also available in SPF 12 and 50.
What do I like about the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen? Well, it just looks so pretty in the bottle! The peach and white colors just swirl together in perfect formation. How do they get it to do that? Also, I like the way it smells. I can't quite place the smell--I guess it's supposed to be coconut--but I know it's not sunscreen smell!
It is available at most major retailers and retails about $8.99 for a 6 oz bottle. It leaves skin soft and protects from the sun, so I think I will let this be my special, "girly" sunblock. ;-)

Quaker Soft Baked Banana Nut Bar

I recently got a beauty voxbox from influenster and I will get to each of the items in turn, but the first thing I tried was the Quaker Soft Baked Banana Nut Bar

Now, personally, I'm not a huge fan of banana nut bread and especially not of nuts. But I'm probably in the minority an my daughter really liked it. It was coated with almonds (so beware if you're allergic!).
If you're watching your calories, counting points or whatever, this isn't a bad snack. It is about 140 calories and it has 3.5 g of fat and 5g of fiber. I always look for fiber and 4g's or less of fat in my snacks. Most people don't get their recommended daily amount of fiber (25g for women and 35 for men). Of course it is best to get in whole grains and veggies, but if you can get a few grams in a great tasting snack or treat, why not?
I did try the bar and it was ok, but like I said, I'm not a huge fan of banana nut bread. If I were, I know I would like these. I would like to try an apple cinnamon flavor in these. That would be awesome!
And here's a pic for fun. Now that's happiness!

BzzCampaign: Bic Soleil Savvy Disposable Razor

As a BzzAgent, I get to try out lots of cool stuff, just for sharing my opinion. And you don't have to be a blogger to be a BzzAgent. So you can sign up and try out free stuff whether you are a blogger or not!
So, the latest Bzzcampaign I've gotten to be part of is for the Bic Soleil Savvy disposable razor. This is a disposable razor  that actually has removable cartridges. Each razor comes with four disposable cartridges. And then I guess you throw the razor itself out?
While I think the razor is great and pretty reasonable in price (about $6-7 or so), I kinda wonder--what is the point of a "disposable" razor with removable cartridges? It seems kinda wasteful to me to have to throw out the handle when you're done with all four cartridges. Because what are you going to do with just a handle? I'm sure creative minds can find a use, but that's not my point. The cartridges are not available separately.
So the Bic Soleil Savvy is between the cheapo disposable razors and pricier razors with removable cartridges. These razors don't have moisturizing bars like, say, the Venus Embrace. But they also don't cost as much and the handle is sturdy like the more expensive razors. I think Bic has a good thing here, but I really think they should reconsider selling cartridges separately. After all, the razor itself is good enough to last--why should I have to throw it out?
*I received this product complimentary through BzzAgent in exchange for sharing my honest opinion. I received no further compensation and all opinions expressed are my own.*
